Walter R. Earley has in-depth experience with the petroleum and
chemical industries. He has special skills in technical management, project planning, and decision analysis
with emphasis on capital management and profit maximization.

Operating Technical Management Managed the technical
department of Sun Company's 90,000 B/D Puerto Rican Fuels and Lubes Refinery. This department of
70 technical employees carried out the functions of design and drafting, and economics and planning,
and provided the services of operating engineers, laboratory computer system support, environmental
compliance, and fire and safety.
Project Planning and Optimization Managed a major in-house
study of a proposed $1.5 billion heavy crude refining project. Considered alternate crude supplies,
processing options, and product slates to maximize profitability of the project, and to integrate it
with other ongoing corporate activities.
Decision Analysis Managed venture analysis department for
Sun Company, and the economics and planning function for Sun's Puerto Rican Subsidiaries, using the
analysis of cash flows recognizing the time value of funds and incorporating major risk elements to
compare alternative new projects and acquisitions.
Capital Planning Managed the planning and budgeting for
capital and operating cash flows which aggregated $150 million annually.
Process Engineering, Project Engineering Acted as Process
Engineer and as Project engineer for major projects of three engineering firms. Teaching plant design,
utilizing PRO-II process simulator, as an adjunct professor at Drexel University.

Walt holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and a Master's in
Business Administration from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since 1963, he has served
as Adjunct Professor at his Alma Mater, teaching Chemical Engineering Plant Design. Walt is an active
member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, having served as a National Director, and as an
instructor in Technical Economics, in the Continuing Education program of the Institute.
