LISA M. WALTON,
PE
Lisa M. Walton has extensive experience in hydraulic analyses and pump selection. Her principal areas of expertise
include examination and analysis of operating systems, writing specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, preparation of
process diagrams, compiling system descriptions and economic analysis. She has presented training seminars on
equipment theory and maintenance.
As a sales engineer for Kriebel Engineered Equipment, Lisa managed a northeastern PA territory for numerous
pump and chemical process equipment manufacturers. At Raytheon Engineers and Constructors, Lisa was a mechanical
engineer in the Fossil Energy Division working primarily on existing coal-fired power plants in North America. Selected
accomplishments include:
|
- Lead project engineer for flue gas desulfurization auxiliary system modifications, double wall fuel oil
pipe upgrade, and emergency diesel generator installation. Responsibilities included: development and achievement
of manpower budgets and project schedules; coordination of design efforts; preparation of engineering calculations,
procurement and installation specifications, and technical bid evaluations; and interface with clients and
vendors.
- Coordination of economic analysis comparing Orimulsion-fired to coal-fired power plants for
various locations overseas. Analysis included development of plant conceptual design, cost estimates and economic
basis.
- Conceptual mechanical/instrumentation engineering with subsequent design, specification
and implementation of continuous emissions monitoring systems.
- Determination of circulating water thermal discharge characteristics including development
of test programs, computer modeling of condenser performance, interpretation of results, economic evaluation
of impact
on plant performance and formation of recommendations for remediation resulting in new thermal discharge
permit limits.
- Development of economic model to predict profitable life of circulating fluidized boiler steam
generating power plant. Prepared expert testimony for litigation.

Lisa has been active with the Society of Women Engineers for many years, and held various
positions at the chapter and regional levels, including section president. She was selected as the Young Engineer of
the Year in 1996 by the Philadelphia Engineer's Club of Philadelphia. She is a member of NSPE.
Lisa holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University, along with a BA in History
and was elected to both Tau Beta Pi and Phi Theta honorary societies. She received a MS in Mechanical Engineering
from Drexel University, specializing in heat transfer and thermodynamics. She is a licensed engineer in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
